1st: Composite - Thames (Ali Knowles) / Gloucester / Imperial College / Marlow / Reading University / UL (Head!!!)
7th: Thames A (Club pennant!!) The final results award the club pennant to Mortlake, Anglian and Alpha -.75 seconds ahead of the TRC crew – congratulations to MAA.

Boustead Race Reports

A very close race race throughout most of the course.
London rowed hard on the Surrey station to negate the Thames advantage around the first bend to Barnes, a feat that Thames managed to equal around the outside of the long bend which was to London’s advantage.

The women take on Cambridge

In a traditional pre-WHORR/Boat Race match with Cambridge University, the women’s crews will be taking to the water on Sunday.  The format is as yet undecided, but it’s always a lot of fun and highly competitive.

Thames win Boustead in 150th year

The Thames first crew beat London’s first crew in the 2010 race – run from Chiswick to Barnes Elms. Unfortunately I can’t give you the margin because I was outside Thames at the time.

The Head of the Charles is the biggest race of the world; entered by the most experienced crews and steered by the most competent coxes, so it was understandable that Team Boston were a little nervous about race day considering the closest we had got to rowing internationally was Holme Pierrepont.
