Reunion dinners

In our 150th year we are holding reunion dinners for those who have been members of Thames.  They are being run by decade and the first one is happening this month and they will continue through 2010.
Dates:
20th September – for members from 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s
22nd November – 1980s and 1990s

Saturday brunch at the club

Come and enjoy breakfast/lunch at the club on Saturdays – from 11.30am onwards.  It’ll be a bit community-spirited in that you’ll need to wash your plate afterwards, but for a meagre £3.50 you can enjoy breakfast by the river.

This weekend is the first round of GB trials in Boston, Lincolnshire. TRC are sending 3 athletes: Leonora Kennedy, Deborah Mallinson, Helen Ratcliff and Harriet Townsend. Thames Olympians 2008

The Beijing Olympic Games kick off at 8.08pm on the 8th day of the 8th month in the year 2008. In keeping with a tradition of Thames rowers at the Olympics there will be three representatives in British boats this year: Ali Knowles, Beth Rodford and Elise Laverick.

Winners at Kingston

Lots of Thames crews were racing last weekend at Kingston regatta and we came away with two wins and lots of finalists. Harry Dorrance-King won in novice singles and the WS4 8+ won (beating CUWBC) as well. Congratulations!
