Taking advantage of the long Easter weekend, three exiled Thames members got together for a bit of rowing Down Under – and came away not only with pots but also prize money.



Final: Mahe vs Rob

Mahe wins by a huge, huge margin. Watching on my computer at work – missed the start, but he had clear water over Rob by 500m and just stretched it out rating 28. Well-deserved in my opinion.
The NZ Olympic squad is announced on Friday; I think there’d be general surprise if Rob wasn’t featured somewhere

NZ Nationals – finals day 2

So Helen and Lucy were finished today, but we had senior fours left. Nerves gathered. They put everything forward, squishing finals from 15 mins apart to just 10. Luckily we found out in time, so that was okay – weather was still rather bad, though better than yesterday.
