Nat Champs 2009
By Kate • Jul 21st, 2009 • Category: regattasA somewhat reduced set of athletes set out for Nat Champs in Nottingham this year, but managed to come back with a full set of medals:
Paddy's the tall one...
Gold: WJ 4x London Youth Rowing composite (left), with Lottie Hudson (Lea), Catherine O’Riordan (Thames), Jordan Cole Hossain (Barn Elms), Lizzie Panton (Lea) winning by 9 seconds in the final.
Silver: W Lw 1x, Deb Mallinson, although leading for most of the race, her main opponent managed the difficult conditions in the last third of the race to push through.
Bronze: W J16 1x, Lucy Edwards, racing as Putney High School, but also a Thames member, and very much looking forward to trialling for the GB Juniors next year.
